Hi everybody! I'm Willy, and as you know from my book I love to play football. It is the best thing to play in the whole wide world! (All of my sisters say that it is rubbish and that I should play netball but I disagree!) However, I never had boots so no one would let me play. That made me very sad, and my self esteem levels dropped. However, eventually I got some boots. I was allowed into training, but everyone teased me for how old the boots were. But when they saw me play, they were happy. It took me a while, but I discovered it wasn't what you have that matters, it's who you are. But right now your probably thinking, "We really don't care about that, we want to learn the secret of your boots!!!" Well, I tell everyone that I could just see the silhouette of a figure who handed me the boots, but really I have a secret! They weren't given to me the night before. I was walking to football practice in shame wearing my old sneakers. I walked past a group of skateboarders and one skated into me and knocked me out! I woke up later to see that the skateboarders had left me and I was all alone. But then, the one that hit me came back. He handed me some football boots and apologised for hitting me! He helped me up and told me to put on the boots. I did. Suddenly I felt better than I had ever felt before. Then I went to football practice and I was awesome! So, to be perfectly honest I don't know the secret about how the boots work. But I never told anyone what really happened because a) They would kick me of the team b) They would think that I am crazy! So, sorry I don't know how the boots worked. But do you?

Hi. I'm Smudge and I love to play. People describe me as childish and play full. I like to find ways to cheer people up, especially My Dad. However, this has not always been easy for me. My Dad and I had something very unfortunate happen to us about 3 years ago. My Mummy grew very ill. She was always happy, and cheered Dad and I up, but she was constantly sad. That made Dad and I very sad. One day I went out with Dad to get a burger and when we came back Mummy was asleep. Dad cried and cried and cried. I asked Dad why he was crying, and he told me she was never going to wake up. I didn't see the world with fruit trees and bright colours anymore. Dad never spoke. Life was sad. Everything was dull. The colours, the sky, the park. I just couldn't get happy. But Dad was worse. For weeks nothing happened. But soon we got a parcel in the mail. It was a miniature box. There was a letter attached which read: Dear Mr Snow, (That's Dad) Please find attached the will of Mrs Snow. Dad pulled out a letter which read: To my loving husband. I don't really have anything to leave you because the whole house belongs to you. But I ask the funeral agency to remove my engagement ring. Keep it forever. Lots of love, Anne. Dad went into the box and pulled out a pouch with Mum's ring inside. He cryed. I took the letter from him and read the next part. To my darling Smudgy Moo. I leave you a message. Try to be happy. That will make me happy. Cheer your Dad up. I love you lots. Love from Mummy. I then knew that I had to start concentar
